Coho opens new commissary kitchen in the Sunshine Coast
Coho Gibsons, or Coho Sunshine as we affectionately call it, is our newest location and is ready to open!
Fully equipped for grease-laden vapours, a rentable community kitchen, and an industrial walk-in cooler and freezer, this air-conditioned, Class 1 kitchen is designed to accommodate a range of food producers who are ready to start or scale their food business on the Sunshine Coast.
Historically known as Ken's Lucky Dollar Grocery Store and most recently, The Trading Post. This landmark Lower Gibsons building will be most similar to our Strathcona commissary and also includes a retail component with a restaurant and shop nook. Brassica, a community-to-table restaurant, is an opportunity for locals to be a part of the Coho community and enjoy a celebration of simple, seasonal, family-style meals - highlighting the local produce and producers of the Sunshine Coast.
In keeping with our commitment to support local businesses and foster community, we spoke to Sunshine Coast business owners about what joining a community means.
Here are a few of our favourite quotes from the video above.
